Mr. Sobin has over 30 years of experience originating commercial real estate loans. In 1981 he founded State-Wide Capital Corp., one of the leading home equity loan providers in the country, well known for its extensive television, radio and newspaper advertising and its 1-800-DIAL-CASH phone number. In 1995 he sold State-Wide Capital to Superior Bank FSB, a federal savings bank headquartered in Illinois, and remained through 1997 as President of the bank's mortgage lending division.

He then formed Select Commercial Funding LLC to offer commercial mortgage banking and real estate capital advisory services nationwide. The firm was founded on the belief that most small to mid-sized property and business owners lack the expertise and sources to obtain the best financing in the $1,500,000 to $25,000,000 range. Where large real estate companies have in-house finance professionals, smaller borrowers often do not, and Stephen built the firm to level that playing field.

As a correspondent with many leading national real estate lenders, including national, regional and community banks, life insurance companies, finance companies, Wall Street investment banks, conduit and agency lenders, hedge funds and private lenders, Stephen combines deep market knowledge, underwriting skill, and a wide array of capital sources to secure the best available terms for his clients.
